On Castle Hill Tavern:
Not a bad place, although the entry fee and drink prices are awfully steep. $11 to get in on Fri/Sat and for what.. a bunch of girls dancing and (usually) more guys than girls.. not good odds. Saturday night has a nice variety of dance music.

On Mean Fiddler:
Since the changes, the meals are great (although bring a jacket, cause sitting outside can be mighty cool in winter), although unfortunately the dance floor is particularly smokey as cigarette addicted patrons desperately cling onto their hopeless addiction. Being out west it attracts some very nice down-to-earth girls as well as the usual rabble..

On PJ Gallagher's (Parramatta):
With the new anti-smoking restrictions, this place shines with a tightly packed and non-smoking dance floor. There are still some dumb-heads still lighting up here and there, but their days are over, can't wait till their asses are FINED BIG MONEY for being such inconsiderate losers. Unlike the Mean Fiddler, where cigarette smoke on the dance floor is thick enough to cut with a knife, PJs is relatively clear making for a good time drinking, dancing, and squeezing your way through the crowd.
