Situated in the Woollahra's fashionable Queen Street and surrounded by delicatessens, antique shops, boutiques and cafes, it's reasonable to suggest that the Woollahra is a bit of a Yuppie Magnet. This is very much true of the Front Bar, which teems with expensive suits and manicures, and the prices, to a point, reflect the affluence of the area. However there are two sides to every coin. The Back Bar is a down-to-earth pool and pokies kind of joint, where everyone is just happy to mix and shoot the breeze over a few beers.

The Front Bar is an airy, open, wooden floored room with comfy Wicker chairs and sofas, plenty of chrome and the obligatory tall tables and stools. The peninsular bar provides ample room to order at all but the busiest times, and it carries a great selection of wines and beers, mostly at the premium end of the scale. By contrast, out back is a small, cosy carpeted affair with a poool table taking up much of the space, and the pokies taking up the rest. On a busy night, a pool game is pretty tricky through the crush of bodies, but it's a friendly place, and rarely is there a problem.
The Woollahra also has a restaurant attached - Bistro Moncur, home of expensive tasteful meals and good wine - and a well stocked bottle shop.
