W is the new black. No really. it is. It's Sydney's newest, hottest stylish bar, a real rival to upper-crust bars like Establishment. Occupying the centre of the wharf buildings, W is a spacious designer haven for the well heeled. As prices go, I couldn't tell you. I was lucky enough to be here on a paid night out with a prominent software company, but expect the prices to be way above those at, say, the Bells over the road. Stella Artois and Cascade are on tap here, the rest are bottled and the wine selection is excellent. On my visit, it was hardly packed, but then what cocktail bar is on a Wednesday Night? There's plenty of comfortable seating, and heating is provided by outdoor gas burners, since the cavernous nature of the place would really lend itself to the cold and no mistake. Check it out if you're in Woolloomooloo with a few bucks in your pocket and looking smart.
