Verandah is one of the newest pubs in the city area. The pub is divided into two sections, a small cafe/lounge style bar fronting onto Elizabeth st. and a much larger groovy nightclub type bar out the back (with a Verandah overlooking Castlereagh st.!!) Both bars are decked out in a a modern style (with a very orange color scheme). There is also a small row of booths on the southern wall which adds a nice touch.
Essentially it is a suits' bar, as with most of the watering holes in the given area, and the back area is quite packed on a Friday night. The drink prices are standard for a modern CBD pub and the range of beers on tap is pretty good (althought they only have Cooper's in bottles). On the whole I liked the place although if you don't like crowd's I would suggest the front section on weekends.
