Stef Torok's Comedy Trivia goes off here on Wednesdays at 8pm. SydneyPubGuide have been trailing round Stef and Haskell's trivia nights for a few years now, so now that the pubguide office is in St Peters, it's inevitable that on Wednesdays we'll be found knocking a few back and getting the Simpsons questions wrong at the Southern Cross. It's an Oscar's Pub, the Pyrmont version of which we were semi-regulars at, so the food and presentation was familiar, though the clientele is more suburban than urban cool - which is nice - it adds a far more casual feel. The restaurant is a biggie and features a huge aquarium and large picture windows, though unfortunately the view isn't up to much! This particular Oscar's has a Pokie Lounge on statewide-link, unlike it's pyrmont relative. We recommend: Byron Bay Premium Ale, The Chorizo Pizza, and the $10 rib special on Mondays (well worth the $10). KNock yourselves out!
