If you work in the CBD and like a drink or two after work on a Friday, chances are you've been here, and if you haven't, why not?
Ryan's bar holds sway over the huge courtyard area behind Australia Square (Indidentally, I've always found it ironic that a building called Australia Square is actually round. Maybe it's just me).
On warmer days, the bar has to be augmented by an outside trolley bar with ice buckets stacked with bottles of beer, and they have to be refilled often as the suits hammer a few more down before heading off wherever it is suits go. There's plenty of seating, but patrons often encroach onto the coffee shop which takes up the other half of the plaza. We think it's a good spot for sunning yourself after work with the trickle of fountains an the buzz of converation, and it's a good starting point for a longer evening, if that's what you're after, with the Angel, Establishment, Tank Stream, Republic and others within easy staggering distance.
