We've just moved to Pyrmont from Surry Hills, so a survey of the loca pubs is one of the first things we did. The Quarrymans was our venue for Sunday Lunch, and for $10 including a schooner of Coopers really is good value, so I reckon this could be a regular Sunday Roast venue (our previous Roast Venue was the Grand National in paddo about two years back)
The Quarrymans is well summed up by the word 'unpretentious' - some of the paint is flaking but it's welcoming all the same.
Not as plush as the Harlequin, the Quarrymans is a down-to-earth place with Pokies, TAB, a bistro upstairs, a couple of sofas tucked away at the back and some roadside seating. A big screen is generally showing sport and the bar has enough frontage to get yourself a beer even when it's packed out (which it is at weekends)
We quite like it. We'll test the rest and report back! review by: Jason
