It's a bit hidden, this one. I've known it was there for ages, but being above a McDonalds with a shared entrance has never stuck in my mind as an ideal welcoming entranceway. Well, I was surprised.
It's a pretty good spot. it wasn't too busy, especially compared with the
Stock Exchange a few doors down.
Split into two floors, one mostly tables, the upper floor mostly loungy chairs, it's a comfortable, relaxing environment for a couple of beers. We made the mistake of ordering downstairs (which took a while, there was a bit of a queue), then going upstairs only to find the upper bar was pleasantly empty and we could have been served in half the time.
Both floors have large projection screen TVs which were showing music videos from the Video Jukebox on the lower level. The menu looks very appetising, so I think we'll be going back here, which is one of the better reviews you'll get out of the jaded cynics of SydneyPubGuide.net!
