Well, I'm going to whinge first. Get it out of the way, sort of thing.
What's with that pool table? It's got neon lights all the way round the cushions. It HURTS to play pool. And it's always busy with young student types desperately attempting to go blind. What?
Aside from that, it's not too bad here, and it's often used as a meeting spot to springboard folks on to the rest of Newtown or to finish up at the end of the night (though it's not so far from the
Alfred, which is open later and is more relaxed)
Out the back is a lounge/restaurant - though we haven't tried the food yet. As with the rest of the pub, it's low-lit with occassional gaudy touches - not really our thing at all, but it seems popular. Oh, and there's also a quite large bottle shop attached.
