David from where2sing.com Drove past it twice before I realised it was a pub - and I was actually looking for it by street number. Anyway, easy parking in the side street. Old pub, sort of redone inside, but they burried a couple of cats under the carpet while laying it, and the regulars don't seem to have made it back in yet. Friendly barstaff though, and heaps of machines to take your money. Everynight $1 burgers and what seems like a nice menu, actually I was there for the karaoke in the courtyard which has morphed into a pacific island bar minus the islanders (or indeed anyone else). Probably a great bar if you're local, and by 'local' I mean within half a dozen steps of the bar. 2 Feb 2004 will from haberfield 10 years ago this place ruled the Earth with metal bands every Fri and Sat nights and the easiest women this side of Bangkok. You were guaranteed never to go home alone (unless u wanted to). Today? I think it has gone through 10 or more different owners, each one failing to recapture the magic of the "old Lewo". It wasn't uncommon for the pub to be shut down every 6 months or so. It has recently reopened again, trying to get that inner city trendy vibe pub thing happening (wooden floors, beer garden etc). 5 Nov 2003 Jason from Ashfield This pub is closed until further notice.Its a pity the last owners ran the place down it used to be my fave after work beer.. 22 Aug 2003
