possibly the best Guinness in Sydney - The Grand has been done out recently and is now in most part, 'Siobhans Irish Pub'. Downstairs is still the 'Cock and Bull'
Upstairs has light wood flooring, lots of seating, a big screen and a very long bar, downstairs has the British country pub feel, with antlers and stag's heads (disturbing if you ask me)

On our most recent visit I had cause to put this place forward as the best Guinness I'd had in Sydney so far. In contrast to the usual slightly watery brew, this one was rich, with a slight hint of coffee, and a damn good consistency. More points for this place.
Of course, when we moved downstairs, the service deteriorated. Our barmaid decided that slamming our new drinks down on the bar was good for them, and once we'd paid she strode off without a single word. Nice. Lots of points lost then.
Our overall impression? not too bad at all, if you discount one stroppy barmaid. Give it a try - it might be her night off....
