Wandering through Wooloomooloo, intrepid pubguide reviewers Jason and Trent decide to try out the Frisco.
Now, one of my mates used to work here. In fact a couple of them did, come to think of it, but I never made it down while they were here. Almost a shame.
As you walk in it seems pretty cool, split level mixture of tile and carpeted flooring, nice wooden bar, but the pokies are just too obvious, lining the walls as they do. It's not like the whole place is just one big gambling den, but we really prefer it if the flashing monstrosities are tucked away somewhere where they can be ignored - take them or leave them, if you like. The beer selection's pretty good, and Trent sampled the food, but being a chef he has high standards. we'll send someone with less high class tastees to get a more down-to-earth perception one of these days. For now though, we have two schooners and head on off up the hill to the Old Fitzroy instead, for few games of pool. review by: Jason
