One of the two pubs you encounter immediately on entering Fox Studios, The Fox and Lion is an excellent summer venue, with outdoor seating on the large verandah almost equal in area to the indoor seating. Inside the airy, open aspect is dominated by the large curving staircase in the center of the room, leading to the second bar upstairs. There's a good mixture of seating, from outdoor tables suitable for sitting down to a meal, to sofas and low tables for the loungers among us.

As you'd expect from a pub at Fox Studios, it's definitely a 'family friendly' pub for day visitors. It doesn't really have a regular crowd, save for workers from the nearby Bent Street shopping area, Fox workers and hangers on.

Expect it to be busy when the nearby Horden Pavilion is hosting gigs, and especially busy on summer weekends. Luckily the bar is large and generally free of blockers.

This pub is an excellent spot for the popular sport of people watching, as anyone who enters Fox comes via this part of the complex. try to get a seat near the periphery for the best views.

This pub usually rocks, but last night the band was as exciting as the Australian Namibian game. I agree with the 'getduked' box debacle

Love the live tribute bands the best. We are pleased to see that Jellybean Jam have finally gone.....they are too much.

The Fox and Lion was always a great place to stop in on a week night, and then something happened to the atmosphere. I put it down to the staff. Some friends and I were in there recently and we'd bought a few rounds, and chosen some music on the juke box and then it 'blew up' the staff were really rude regarding us getting our $10 back in credit on the machine, telling us "it's none of their business", and we even got, "don't drink here if you only come for the juke box..." Needless to say - the atmosphere has soured a little, we'll stick to Sports Central or drink elsewhere altogether - it's a shame, it was good once.

I have made this pub my local, gret bands on Sundays, great sun decks and great staff. Perfect.
