One of the two pubs you encounter immediately on entering Fox Studios, The Fox and Lion is an excellent summer venue, with outdoor seating on the large verandah almost equal in area to the indoor seating. Inside the airy, open aspect is dominated by the large curving staircase in the center of the room, leading to the second bar upstairs. There's a good mixture of seating, from outdoor tables suitable for sitting down to a meal, to sofas and low tables for the loungers among us.
As you'd expect from a pub at Fox Studios, it's definitely a 'family friendly' pub for day visitors. It doesn't really have a regular crowd, save for workers from the nearby Bent Street shopping area, Fox workers and hangers on.
Expect it to be busy when the nearby Horden Pavilion is hosting gigs, and especially busy on summer weekends. Luckily the bar is large and generally free of blockers.
This pub is an excellent spot for the popular sport of people watching, as anyone who enters Fox comes via this part of the complex. try to get a seat near the periphery for the best views.
