When we visited, we'd just missed a talk on the joys of beer by Master Brewer Chuck Hahn (yes, of Hahn premium fame). Shame, because we could have done with something to break the place up a bit - the restaurant area was holding a private function, so sorry about that one.
Basically, the Four In Hand is one of those curious oxymorons. If the place was empty, you could picture it being a working-class TAB and racing type pub. Odd that, because it's very rarely empy, and it's usually wedged with the more affluent residents of Woollahra - the sort who you'd normally see somewhere like The Woollahra Hotel or The Paddington.
Well, each to their own. I actually found it a fair bar, though it's not on my list of regular haunts. Inconsistent pricing at the bar didn't help either - a difference of $1 from one round to the next is a bad sign, usually.
