The best bit of this pub, for me at least, if the roof garden. Offering a spectacular view out over Sydney, it's a top spot and popular for functions.
Down in the main bar, things aren't quite as spectacular. Seating is usually at an absolute premium, since the East Village is not huge in floor area - the clean white decor makes the place seem a little cold, even in the height of summer. This when the place is wedged with people with a DJ pumping in the corner is a surprising trait!
Outside there's usually some reasonably comfortable seating, though you have to be quick to get it, and if you do, you usually miss the finger food, which is occassionally circulated.
Conclusion? Well, it's not at all bad if you're in the area, and it seems pretty popular. Consider it if you're booking a function, too! review by: Jason
