Why are we always toasted when we get here? (7 Nov 2002)

Oh yes, because the main redeeming feature of the pub is that it's open so damn late when everywhere else in Surry Hills is closed. Having said that, there's a decent selection of beer and a couple of pool tables, but it's definitely a 'blokes' environment, so don't bother taking your new girlfriend out here to impress here!

One of the worst continued experiences of bar staff attitude in memory - at least they're consistently rude and obnoxious. Have had 6 visits since moving into the area (each time hoping for better) and will avoid next time. Nice goober spit into the sink by the way Haircut-Barman-Dude-with-the-Lisp.

Since partially done up and a better place to be than it was previously. Good TAB area. Staff could be a little more 'professional' though.
