It's late, we're all a little toasted, we want to go on. Where to go? Someone shouts "Judgement Bar!" and the next thing I know I'm upstairs adjudicating a heated discussion between Trent and the bar manager on whether tap water should be free or not.
The Judgement Bar is a very popular spot for the young set in Darlinghurst. Downstairs, though is more of a rough sport & tab kinda bar. We generally give downstairs a miss, but then, we only get here when it's late.
The Courthouse has had a reputation in the past of being rough. Very rough. I've been past on more than one occassion at 8.30am on the way to work and there's been a police presence escorting someone away. Gladly, upstairs it pretty well policed during normal hours and everyone's just out for a good time anyway. By 8.30 am we'd have moved on for breakfast anyway!
