Yes, Woollahra. Sydney's second highest earning suburb, according to the Morning Herald, topped only by Double Bay. No wonder, then, that the Centennial is the upmarket haunt it is.
In the standard, stamped-from-the-mould wood and chrome format, it sports a fairly spacious, often candlelit front bar with cocktails and bottled beers being the prime movers over the bar, and an upmarket, bright restaurant section to the back. Usually full of diners suited up to the nines, the pub fits the expectation perfectly.
Of course, when in the area, we generally prefer to slum it in the Back Bar of the
Woollahra, being down-market scruffs, but occasionally make an appearance here.
Often thronged when the moonlight cinema is on, and usually wedged with race-goers after Randwick Races. head over if you're feeling smart and rich.
