The Bristol 'retro pub' is a pretty big place in the quiet zone of Sussex street between Darling Harbour and the Sydney CBD itself. It's neighbour, the Slip Inn is a lot more lauded than the Bristol, so the Bristol makes a lot of effort. Unfortunately the effort doesn't seem to have paid off, at least when it comes to making an impression on the hardened SPG.net review team! We've visited on a couple of occassions, but we've never really felt comfortable there. With the choices of Moretons and The Slip Inn nearby, we generally don't stay for too long either. We can't really pin it down either. Perhaps it's the glitterball thing... Don't worry, we'll be making an effort and re-reviewing the place at a later date!

I love this place. It's fun, friendly and safe. Everyone always has a good time and at the end of the day I would rather spend my money on a good and enjoyable night dancing and haning fun than standing around looking pretty!

Used to go there all the time and it's always guaranteed good times. Retro (80's) level is the best. No pretentions BECAUSE of the 80's cheese and easy to meet people.

This is a great place to go if you just want to enjoy a drink and let loose on the dance floor. There is no pretentiousness here.
