PubGoer from Balmain Dropped in for lunch. Yes, it was a Tuesday, so was not expecting a crowd. First impression as I walked in, was modern cafe - no real pub feel at all. lots of glass frontage and stainless steel. Toilets a good 3 flights of stairs down from the bar - which could be problematic later at night. Food prices seemed reasonable, but my colleague warned me off, saying it is decent however a lot of the selection was from frozen packets (he was served Asian starters where some were still frozen). So the lunch meeting became a couple of drink catch up - so I guess they missed out on 4 lunches from our group. Beer prices were $4.40 for a schooner of local beer - as usual for that end of the city. 1 Jun 2005 claudia from sydney another one of those boring bars with lots of stainless steel and glass.... and I hit my head on the staircase.... not a fun night (even had to play pool against some rude bogans) 22 Mar 2005
