The Pub With No Beer, way off the beaten track in Taylor's Arm, can be reached from the Pacific Highway at Macksville by oh, a pretty short drive. Well, it's a bit longer than you might think, but persevere! It's well worthwhile.
You'll find, at the end of the drive, a marvellous, Verandah-lined single-story pub with attached brewery, surrounded by open space and Aussie countryside.
When we visited, the Restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so we couldn't check out the food, but the on-site brews were excellent. The pub is filled with memorabilia, especially musical, and with a fair share of Slim Dusty memorabilia. The pub hosts music on a regular basis, including some pretty large festival style events, and it's worth checking the website and signing up for updates if you want to try one out.
Five stars!
