So, there we were, halfway through a walk from Woollahra via Edgecliff to Wooloomooloo (why weren't we catching a taxi? good point. I had my mountain bike with me, mostly). We got to Rushcutters bay, looked up the hill, marvelled at the heat, then decided we'd screw the deadline and drop into Key Largo, which has long been on the pubguide 'visit list'. Well, we'r fairly impressed. You can never expect tons of character from small modern bars, but this one seemed to be full of friendly young affluent folks enjoying a quiet afternoon drink. Big screens were alternately showing fashion shows and sport, so everyone was covered, and the drinks are served in tasteful tall glasses. Get the sofas, or a window seat if you can, they're at the premium here. As are the prices, but we found it quite bearable.
