It's been some time since we've been to the Civic, but let me tell you, when we have, we've really enjoyed it. If you get the chance, monopolise the back room - the one with the tiny window onto the bar. it's low-lit, cosy and not as loud as the front.
Recent refits mean the 'theatre' is now open for live music and shows, which is a good thing in this part of town, and a bit of variety really could do no harm.
